Marc Forman
Biography
Marc Forman began his career working in clay. His sculptures and ceramic wall forms garnered much national recognition during his years working in that medium. But, like many artists, he sought new challenges and turned to canvas. He found his place working with acrylic on canvas and his studio is a reflection of this immersion into that medium.
Marc takes up the challenge of Expressionism and Reduction to define and interpret this relationship within the world in which he lives. Employing acrylic paints, mixed media and canvas, he interprets his feelings as a resident of the world on loan in the environs in which he resides, observes, and fantasizes. Marc’s work is defined by the search for truth, utilizing reductive and profound concepts interpreted through minimally variable colorations. By design, they are meant to be both intellectually stimulating and contemplative.
Accomplishments
Marc’s art has been included in national competitions and juried exhibitions from the northeastern part of the U.S. to the furthest southwestern corner. His work has been collected widely by corporations and individuals alike.
